When combined with a fitted adjustable cotton masks, PM2.5 filters can block the vast majority of airborne particulates.

PM2.5 refers to atmospheric particulate matter (PM) that have a diameter of less than 2.5 micrometers, which is about 3% the diameter of a human hair and are so small that they can only be seen with a microscope. 

These disposable filters allow for continuously use for 16-24 hours or around 1 - 2 weeks of occasional use.
